It's a visa exclusively designed to let adopted children living outside Australia to move with their adoptive parents as a permanent resident.

Requisites of the Visa:-

• You are outside Australia
• You are younger than 18 years old
• You are already adopted or in the process of being adopted
• You get a sponsorship by an adoptive parent or prospective adoptive parent.
• Adoptive parents must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.
• You must be either already adopted or in the process of being adopted by their sponsor.
• You must meet health and character requirements.

An adoptive parent must have done one of the following:

• Adopted (or be in the process of adopting) the child with the involvement of an Australian state or territory adoption authority
• Adopted child under any country's law except Australia and lives outside Australia lodging an application 
• Adopted the child under the Hague Adoption Convention

Privileges of the Visa:-

• Provides you right to live in Australia indefinitely.
• An applicant can work in Australia during your stay.
• An applicant can enrol in Medicare, Australia's scheme for health-related care and expenses.
• Allows you to apply for citizenship if you meet specific requirements.
• Allows you to move to and fro for five years starting from the day visa is granted.
• You can sponsor your relatives for permanent reside.
