How to Apply for Australia Immigration through family sponsorship programs?
Every year, the Australian government sets aside a lot of visa places exclusively for the family members of Australian permanent residents, citizens and eligible New Zealand citizens. This almost represents more than one-third of the total immigration visas issued annually.
Whether you wish to move to or stay in with your partner or family member in Australia on a temporary or permanent basis, you must find the right visa subclass based on your true intentions.
Overview of Australia Family Sponsored Visas
Let's explore the visa options available for joining a partner or family in Australia:
Prospective marriage visa (Subclass 300)
This visa subclass 300 is designed to allow an individual to move to Australia for marrying his/her prospective spouse and accordingly apply for a Partner visa.
To qualify for visa subclass 300, you must be 18 years or older, have a sponsorship and a true intention to marry your prospective spouse before the visa expires.
With this visa, you can live, work or study (at own expenses) in Australia for 9 -15 months from date of visa grant.
Contributory Parents Visa (Subclass 864/143)
The visa subclass 864/143 allows the parents of Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia on a permanent basis.
To qualify for both visa subclass 143 or 864, you must meet Australia's balance-of-family test, have an Assurance of Support and not have already applied for or hold a Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 870) visa when applying for any of the visa subclasses.
Partner Visa(Subclass 309/100)- Apply Overseas
