How to apply for Global Talent Visa (Subclass 858)?

The Global Talent visa (Subclass 858) is for the individuals, who have an outstanding talent. The people who have international fame and popularity due to their exceptional achievements and accomplishments in the field of:

• A profession
• Sport
• Arts
• Academic and Research

You need to be in Australia while applying for this visa and when this visa is granted.You can include you family unit members when you apply. You can also add family to your application at any time before the Department of Home Affairs, Australia decide on your application.If you are under 18 years old, you can include:

• A parent
• members of the family unit of that parent

Family members who apply for the visa require fulfilling the health and character requirements.

Requisites of the Visa:-

• You have exceptional talents and are internationally recognized for your outstanding achievements in profession, sport, arts, academia and research.
• You are considered as an asset to Australia and are still engaged in the talent.
• You are nominated by an eligible person or organisation.
• Hold good health and moral conduct.
• You must have functional English skills.
• Do not have any outstanding debts to Australian government and should have arranged for the same if any

Privileges of the Visa;-

• Provides you right to live in Australia indefinitely.
• Applicant can work and study in Australia during your stay.
• Applicant can enrol in Medicare, Australia’s scheme for health-related care and expenses.
• Allows you to apply citizenship if you meet certain requirements.
• Allows you to move to and fro for five years starting from the day visa is granted.
• You can sponsor your relatives for permanent residency.

The Global Talent visa includes two visa pathways:

• The streamlined Global Talent Visa Program pathway for candidates with skills in identified priority sectors who have submitted an EOI and
• The Distinguished Talent pathway for candidates working in other sectors.
