NSW Skilled Occupation List

New South Wales welcome highly skilled migrants, business and investor migrants to apply for nomination to live and work in the state and help drive its economic growth.

Recently, NSW has released the NSW Skills List for the financial year 2022-23 with new minimum point scores and skilled work experience requirement.

To be eligible for NSW nomination you must:

  • Fulfil all requirements defined by DHA for this visa
  • Be skilled in an occupation that is:
    • within an ANZSCO unit group identified on the NSW skills list for this visa; AND
    • is eligible for the visa

Note: As per the latest update, NSW Immigration has eased the NSW Nomination criteria for the applicants. has removed the earlier available points scores and work experience instructions for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) due to greater availability of the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) by DHA, Australia. However, there is no change in Visa Subclass 491 criteria.

The occupation list given below is subject to change periodically, hence, for updated status of an occupation, you may contact VA Australia immigration expert on Toll-Free No. 78-18-000-777 or you can drop us an e-mail at info@visasavenue.com.
