Alberta PNP Occupation List- 2024

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of Alberta province in Canada. Alberta assesses the applicants' profile and subsequently, nominate the selected candidates for Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada to IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada). The AINP has three key streams, i.e.

  • Alberta Opportunities Stream
  • Alberta Express Entry Stream
  • Alberta Self Employed Farmer Stream

Alberta has changed the name of its PNP, i.e. Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) on February 16, 2022. The new name of AINP is Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). It has also announced new streams and changes on this day.

Note: On November 16, 2022, Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the AAIP, adopted the NOC 2021. Find out how NOC 2021 affects eligibility for AAIP streams.

Impact of NOC 2021 change on AAIP Eligibility Criteria

As of November 16, 2022, AAIP worker stream requirements reflect the NOC 2021:

  • AAIP language requirements are now based on TEER. It means that the minimum language requirements have increased in sixteen occupations and decreased in three occupations.
  • Ineligible and eligible occupations lists have been updated with new NOC codes.
  • Wage requirements for religious workers have been updated with new NOC codes.
  • Rural Renewal Stream work experience requirements are now based on TEER.
  • General Express Entry Stream occupation eligibility has changed for 19 occupations.
