Upcoming Express Entry Next Draw Prediction 2024

If you aspire to get Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa through Federal Express Entry System, it is wise to keep track of next FSW draw prediction 2024. The good news is that now the IRCC is conducting category-based express entry draws, and hence, the CUT OF or CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement in all such draws remain low.

Moreover, the number of ITAs (Invitations to Apply) are also at higher side. Let’s try to understand Express Entry next draw prediction by analysing the Express Entry draw history as well as the latest EE draw trend.

Express Entry draws so far in 2024

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has opened 17 express entry draws so far in the year 2024 inviting total 35,970 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. The latest all-category Express Entry draw took place on 24 April 2024 inviting 1,400 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa, who had a CRS score of 410 points or above.

In the year 2024, the CRS score requirement or CUT OFF from IRCC has been relatively low until now in all category-based Express Entry draws. This trend is likely to remain the same in upcoming Express Entry draws in 2024 as well.

In 2024, the lowest CUT OFF until date is 336 Points, which was announced for the category-based Express Entry draw occurred on February 29, 2024, wherein Canada invited 2,500 candidates with French Language proficiency (2024-1).

Last year as well, as part of category-based selections, the IRCC invited candidates based on their French proficiency or experience in high demand occupations, despite their low CRS score. Moreover, in 2024, the Express Entry has a target to invite record 110,770 new permanent residents. Let’s study the Express Entry draw today and tomorrow to know Express Entry CRS Score prediction 2024:

Express Entry Draws in 2024

Prediction of CRS score in upcoming Express Entry draws 2024

As announced in May 2023, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is now regularly conducting the Category-based Express Entry draws.  Hence, now, the candidates are getting the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa based on their occupation only, even if their CRS score is relatively low.

Now, when it comes to Express Entry next draw prediction 2024, one thing is sure that CUT OFF is going to be low in all category-based draws, while it may remain a relatively high in the all-program EE draws.

IRCC has sustained existing categories for Category-based Selections in 2024

As per the latest update, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced to sustain the six categories implemented last year (i.e. in 2023) for selection in category-based Express Entry draws.

Find below the six categories IRCC retained by IRCC for category based selections in the Express Entry draws of 2024:

  1. Healthcare
  2. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  3. Trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
  4. Transport
  5. Agriculture and agri-food
  6. Strong French-language proficiency

Understanding Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

It is a merit-based selection system used by the Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Canada's immigration  authority assign a CRS score out of 1200 to each applicant who enters the Express Entry pool under all three programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class.

Point Allocation under Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

In order to rank candidates, the IRCC assigns a CRS score to each applicant in the EE pool out of 1200, which includes:

  • Core: Up to 600 points
  • Skills and experience factors
  • Spouse or common-law partner factors, such as their language skills and education
  • Skills transferability, including education and work experience

  • Additional: Up to 600 points
  • Canadian degrees, diplomas or certificates
  • a valid job offer
  • a nomination from a province or territory
  • a brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident
  • strong French language skills

If your CRS score is low in Express Entry, you can apply to a Provincial Nominee Program and increase your CRS point score by 600 CRS points.
