Saskatchewan Immigration PNP under Express Entry Program

Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category is for the skilled workers who wish to live and work in Saskatchewan. This program allows Saskatchewan to nominate the applicants for permanent residence to the federal government.

What is Saskatchewan -Express Entry Sub-Category?

Saskatchewan- ISW (International Skilled Worker) - Express Entry Sub-Category is the program through which, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) nominates the people who are in the Express Entry Pool of the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

However, the authorities closely review and make sure that all nominated candidates have the required skilled work experience, education, language efficiency, and other critical factors, i.e. age, education, language proficiency, work experience, etc. These factors are essential to establish in Saskatchewan's labour market and contribute significantly to Saskatchewan's economy.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) accept the applications for ISW- Express Entry subcategory and issue ITA (Invitation to Apply) for a provincial nomination through periodic Expression of Interest (EOI) based draws of SINP.

Eligibility Conditions for the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category

You are eligible to apply under Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category if you live outside Canada or have genuine proof of Canada's legal status. However, you also require fulfilling the below criteria:

  • You are already in Express Entry pool of IRCC, with a valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code. Any false or inaccurate information given in your Express Entry profile may lead to cancellation of your SINP Nomination and five years ban by IRCC on immigration to Canada.
  • You need to provide a language test result score cleared through a designated testing agency matching your language efficiency level declared in Express Entry Profile.
  • You have a valid Post-secondary Diploma, Degree, Certificate etc. of at least one year, comparable to the Canadian Education System.
  • You require scoring minimum 60 points out of 100 in the SINP point assessment grid.
  • You need to have a minimum level of experience in your field of education or training, i.e. At least (You may refer to the province website for further details regarding the required work experience):
  • One year of experience in the skilled profession (non-trade) in the past ten years OR
  • Two years of experience in the last five years in a skilled trade
  • Twelve months of skilled work experience in the past three years (trades and non-trades) in Canada

In case, your work experience belongs to a skilled trade; you require having a certificate of qualification (known as a letter of invitation) in the same from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission.

  • You need to have proof of settlement funds and the settlement plan (You may refer to the province's website for further details).

A Few Key Points Regarding the Selection Criteria

  • The whole program's criteria may change without the prior notice and SINP will assess the application as per the criteria given on the website, when the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) receives your application completed in all sense.
  • Applicants must know that SINP doesn't give any guarantee regarding the selection of application or nomination
  • The federal government set the nomination limit and intake threshold

Stepwise Processing of Application

  1. First, submit the online profile on IRCC’s Express Entry System. Once you find a place in the pool, you shall receive an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
  2. Then you would require reading and understanding the Application Guide of Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category for the essential instructions, once you complete your SINP application.
  3. Prepare all the essential supporting documents. Refer the Application guide for further details regarding the same.
  4. Fill up all the required federal forms and any other relevant federal that is applied.
  5. Analyse and organize the completed forms and the supporting documents to ensure that you have a complete application from all aspects.

Who is not eligible to apply under Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category?

  • The Canadian Refugee Claimants
  • The people not in the Express Entry pool

  • The one who fails to prove his intent to live and work in Saskatchewan.
