As per the latest, report from Labour Force Survey (LFS)-September 2022, released, employment slightly changed (+21,000) in September, with both part time and full-time work stand stable. Unemployment rate in Canada dropped by 0.2 points to be at 5.2 percent in September 2022. It is a great news for foreign Students looking to study in Canada. The minister for IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada), Sean Fraser has announced to lift the cap on the off campus work hours, i.e. 20-hour-per-week temporarily for foreign students in Canada.

  1. New NOC system 2021

The IRCC is adopting new NOC version 2021 for federal Express Entry System as well as for the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada. The new level shall provide more explanation on the amount of education or training needed for a role. Unlike using Skill Levels 0, A, B, C, and D, of NOC 2016, the TEER system under NOC 2021 will classify occupations into numeric categories: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Canada to release its Immigration Levels Plan will be out soon

The government of Canada is soon going to release its immigration level plan for 2023-2025.
