6th Express Entry Draw of Dec 2023 Opens- IRCC Continues to Make Year-end Promising

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to surprise the applicants with back to back draws of federal Express Entry System in the last month of the year.

On December 20, 2023, the IRCC opened third Express Entry draw in a row to invite 670 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. This was a category-based draw for Transport Occupations (2023-1) only. Find out more about this new invitation round of EE system.

In this new category-based draw for Transport Occupations, Canada has issued 670 invitations to express entry candidates with CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score 435 points or higher.

After this Transport Occupation draw of Express Entry System, now Canada has issued a total of 1,09,866 Invitations this year in overall 41 Express Entry draws.

Express Entry draws in December 2023

This month, Canada has opened total six Express Entry draws until date and has invited record 14,645 candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa, which is an incredible number. Let’s take a look at draws opened this month.

Out of total six draws held this month, two were all-programs, while the rest were Category-based Express Entry draws, which invited the candidates having experience in specific occupations or proficiency in French language. The lowest CRS score this month was 425 points in the EE draw for Trade Occupations took place yesterday, i.e. on 19 December 2023.

In 2024, Express Entry has a target to invite 110,770 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. Moreover, Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) will also invite similar number of candidates, i.e. 110,000. In view of this massive immigration target of popular Canada immigration programs, it’s a high time for Canada PR aspirants to prepare their immigration file now as New Year 2024 is just a few days away.
