Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) – The Overseas applicants received the most, i.e. 85 nomination invitations. Canberra invited these candidates to apply for nomination for Subclass 491 visa.

ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Nomination

The ACT allocates a fixed number of nomination positions every month, which is proportional to the yearly allocation. Invitations are extended to candidates with the highest-ranking Matrix in each occupation. The selection cut-off depends on several factors, including the remaining monthly allocation, the timing of Matrix submissions, occupation caps, and demand. The higher the demand for a particular occupation, the higher the required Matrix score for an invitation.

It's essential to note that fulfilling the minimum ranking score serves as an indication, however, does not guarantee an invitation. Invitations won't be issued if you already have an active application in the system or if you have formerly received an ACT nomination.

In an effort to fulfil its annual allocation, the ACT is actively seeking more 491 visa applicants with critical skills gaps. To achieve this, ACT have temporarily restricted invitations to 491 applicants exclusively.
