Alberta Invites 41 Skilled Workers Through Latest draw of AAIP- Express Entry Stream

Alberta's continued commitment to attracting skilled foreign workers was underscored by the latest AAIP- Express Entry stream draw conducted on August 13, 2024. The province extended Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to apply for provincial nomination to 41 candidates through its EE stream of Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

Alberta PNP- Express Entry stream Draw

This latest AAIP draw saw a modest increase in the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score to 301, compared to the previous draw. This CRS relatively low CRS threshold indicates a great opportunity for provincial nominations for skilled workers with a CRS score at or above this level.

The draw specifically targeted healthcare professionals with confirmed employment offers in Alberta. Candidates in this category needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300 to qualify.

Alberta Welcomes Skilled Workers

Alberta has issued a total of 832 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through 19 Express Entry Stream draws under its Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) so far this year. This shows the province’s ongoing commitment to attracting skilled foreign workers to contribute to its economy. The EE stream of the AAIP invites the candidates with relatively low CRS score compare to federal EE system.

By issuing NOIs to these candidates, Alberta demonstrates its dedication to strengthening its workforce and economic growth. Successful applicants will be eligible to apply for a provincial nomination, a crucial step towards securing permanent residency in Canada. This draw reinforces Alberta's position as a desirable destination for skilled immigrants with low Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score seeking permanent residency in Canada.
