Alberta PNP to issue 9,750 Nomination certificates in 2023

Canadian province Alberta’s AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program) is one of the key provincial immigration programs of Canada. Popular Express Entry stream of Alberta PNP provides a relatively easy pathway for skilled workers with profiles in the federal Express Entry system to obtain provincial nomination for permanent residence in Alberta, Canada.

The EE stream allows Alberta to select applicants who possess the skills and experience require to support the province's economic growth. Successful nominees get an extra 600 CRS points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, considerably increasing their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.

Alberta PNP Nomination allocation

Canadian immigration department, i.e. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) establishes yearly limits on the number of nomination certificates that the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) can issue. In 2023, the AAIP is sanctioned to allocate 9,750 nomination certificates, which will be distributed between the Express Entry and non-Express Entry pathways (with the possibility of adjustments during the year). Projections show that nominal rise exceeding 10,000 nomination allocations per year are expected for the year 2024 and 2025.

Please note that this plan of the Alberta PNP may change without prior notification, inclined by varying application volumes and the expected utilization of nomination allocations in 2023. The allocation plan for AAIP in 2023 is presently being reviewed.
