Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry Stream
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) features a Dedicated Health Care Pathway designed to attract qualified healthcare professionals to the province. This pathway addresses critical labor shortages in Alberta's healthcare sector by providing a route to provincial nomination for permanent residence.
It includes both Express Entry and non-Express Entry streams, catering to different candidate profiles. Successful applicants must have a valid job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible healthcare occupation and meet specific requirements, including demonstrating the ability to practice their profession in Alberta.
In 2025, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) continues to be a crucial pathway for skilled workers seeking permanent residence in Alberta, with a focus on addressing specific labor market needs. The program operates several streams, including those aligned with the federal Express Entry system, to nominate individuals with in-demand skills. Alberta is prioritizing candidates in sectors like healthcare (through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway), technology (via the Accelerated Tech Pathway), and other key industries. This targeted approach means that skilled workers with experience in these areas have a strong opportunity to contribute to Alberta's economy and build their future in the province.
