Latest SkillSelect Invitation round of Australia
In the SkillSelect Invitation round occurred on 11th June 2020, Australia invited 170 candidates for Skilled Independent 189 visa, while 30 invitations issued to 491 visa candidates. The minimum point's requirement was 85 points for the Subclass 189 visa, while it was just 70 points for the Skilled Work Regional (provisional) 491 visa.

25th May 2020 Invitation Round
In the May invitation round the Department of Home Affairs, Australia issued 550 invitations to the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) candidates, while Subclass 491 visa candidates received 100 invites.

As far as minimum points score requirement is concerned, it was 85 points for Subclass 189 visa, while it was just 70 points for Subclass 491 visa.
With the latest, i.e. June 2020, invitation round, the program year 2019-20 is over. In this program year, the Department of Home Affairs, Australia has issued total 9,500 invitations to apply for Australia visa. It issued the highest, i.e. 7,720 invitations for Subclass 189 visa, while 1,480 invites issued to subclass 491 visa.

Now new visa places will be allocated to the different states of Australia along with the announcement of occupations ceilings for the program year 2020-21. The Department of Home Affairs, Australia delayed this announcement due to postponement of the federal budget of Australia.
