Australia has revised the Visa Fee for most of its Visa Subclasses from 1st July 2022

The government of Australia has revised the visa fee for most subclasses with effect from July 1, 2022. Hence, new fees will be applicable for most Skilled, Visit, and family-sponsored, etc. visa categories from 1st July.

The Migration program year of Australia starts on 1st July every year and that is when most immigration and visa rule changes announced by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Australia. Find out more.

New Visa fee applicable from 1st July for Skilled and Visit visas

From 1st July, you will have to pay increased visa fee for most skilled, i.e. Subclass 189, 190 and 491 visa categories. Moreover, the DHA has also revised the fee for the Visit Visa Subclass 600 -all streams (excluding frequent traveller stream). Australia Migration Program 2022-23

Australia is inviting fully vaccinated eligible visa holders, i.e. skilled professionals and international students, etc. from all countries. These eligible visa holders can travel to Australia without requirement to apply for a travel exemption. 

For the Migration program year 2022-23 starting on 1st July, Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Australia has a target to invite 160,000 new immigrants. These newcomers will get admission under following immigration streams:

  • Skill (109,900 places)– This stream is to invite skilled workers from overseas to fill skill shortages in the labour market, including those in regional Australia.
  • Family (50,000 places)– Primarily made up of Partner visas, enabling Australians to reunite with family members from overseas
  • Special Eligibility (100 places)– This stream includes permanent residents returning to Australia after a period overseas.
