Here are key points to note regarding this extension of post-study work rights:
Increase to permissible work hours Limit from 1 July 2023
Australian Government has also declared an increase to the working hour limit for international students, from 40 to 48 hours per fortnight, once the cap is restored on 1 July 2023.
Increased work rights for all Degree programs
Post-study work rights for foreign graduates will be increased from:
This additional period will be added to the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) for eligible graduates; or allowing a new visa application for those select students who already possess a TGV and will be looking for an extra 2 years.
The Department of Home Affairs and Department of Education release more details about eligible occupations and qualifications before July 1, 2023.
