British Columbia PNP invites candidates under General and Entrepreneur stream draw

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducted two separate draws on February 27, 2024 issuing a total of ~203 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for the provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa.

• The first draw was a regular draw that invited nearly 193 candidates
• In the second BC PNP draw for Entrepreneur category, BC issued nearly 10 ITAs (Invitations to Apply).

Here are the draw results of new draws of British Columbia PNP:

• In the targeted draw for applicants with Childcare Occupation BC issued 45 ITAs with a score of 65 points.
• The candidates with work experience in Construction occupations received 12 ITAs with minimum score of 80 points
• Healthcare occupations received 41 ITAs with a minimum score of 65 points
• Tech occupations candidates received most, i.e. 90 ITAs with a minimum score of 108 points
• Candidates with experience in Veterinary care received about 5 ITAs with a score of 65 points.

Entrepreneur Immigration invitations

In the Entrepreneur category draw of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), the province of BC invited nearly 10 candidates under Regional pilot and base stream.

Invites for applications under the EI Regional Pilot take place about once a month for eligible entrepreneurs referred by a participating community. Selection for application invitations for the EI Base stream may consider one or more of the subsequent criteria:

• The qualified candidate’s registration score
• The specific region in which a candidate proposes to establish a business
• The population size of the community in which the candidate proposes to establish a business
• Whether the proposed business is a start-up or a purchase of an existing business
• Whether the business proposal is aligned with identified priority business sectors

Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the EI Base stream will be occasionally held solely based on scores, though there might be limitations imposed based on targeted invitations and to ensure consistent processing times are maintained.
