As per the recent report jointly issued by the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) and Canada's Tech Network (CTN), in the span of one year, Canada has welcomed more than 32,000 skilled tech professionals.

New Report Reveals: Canada Gains 32,000 Tech Workers in 12 Months

This new report from The Technology Councils of North America sheds light on the enlargement of Canada's tech workforce due to an immigration policy that promotes inclusivity and growth. The report finds that over the last year (i.e. from April 2022-March 2023), a total of 32,000 technology professionals found their way to Canada, with a substantial inflow originating from India and Nigeria.

This development is largely credited to Canada’s welcoming immigration policies and the viable advantage in labour costs. The report also classifies the most appealing Canadian cities for top tech talent, ranking Mississauga, Ontario as the leading choice, followed by Montreal, Quebec, and Waterloo, Ontario.

Canada’s Top Ranking Net Migration of Tech Workers by Country
