One notable trend in 2023 was the occurrence of category-based draws, with a total of 17 draws inviting significant 25,873 candidates. Of the 42 draws, 5 were Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only draws, 1 was Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)-only, and the rest 17 were category-based selection draws.
CRS Scores Overview
The lowest CRS score in 2023 was 354 points, recorded in the 28 September 2023 category-based draw opened for Agriculture and agri-food occupations. On the other end, the highest CRS score reached 561 on December 6, when 4,750 all-program candidates received ITAs.
All-Program Draw Statistics
For all-program draws, the lowest CRS score was 481 on March 29, enabling the issuance of ITAs to 7,000 candidates.
Monthly Highlights
March emerged as the biggest month, with a total of 21,667 candidates receiving ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. Month of December witnessed the highest number of draws in 2023, with a total of 7 Express Entry draws opening up opportunities for applicants.
