Canadian government has released the details Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan for 2022-2024. Sean Fraser, Minister of IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), tabled the 2022?2024 Immigration Levels Plan. The government has raised the 2022 immigration target to 431,645 new permanent residents.
The new plan charts an aspiring yet responsible path for immigration that not only will fuel post-pandemic growth of Canada, but also reinforce communities and industries across the country with the arrival of skilled and talented newcomers.
The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) targets to welcome 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022, 447,055 in 2023 and 451,000 in 2024. Hence, Canada will invite nearly 1.5 million new permanent residents (i.e. 13, 29,700) by the end of 2024. The immigration target for 2022 has been raised to 431,645, which was 411,000 in the previous plan revealed back in 2020.
This year, i.e. in 2022, Canada will invite total 431,645 new permanent residents. Most of these immigrants will be admitted under the Economic class category, i.e. 241,850. Under the family class category, Canada will admit 105,000 new permanent residents. Under Refugee and Humanitarian class category the IRCC will admit 76,545 and 8,250 new immigrants respectively.

There is a good news for the applicants eagerly waiting for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category invitations. Under the Economic class, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is going to admit 55,900 Federal High Skilled immigrants in 2022. Under another popular immigration category, i.e. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will admit 83,500 permanent residents.
