Canada opens record 8th Express Entry Draw of July- Invites 964 PNP Candidates

Canada's immigration department, i.e. Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has set a new record with its eighth Express Entry draw of July month opened on July 30, 2024, inviting 964 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. This marks the third PNP-focused draw this month, demonstrating a strong focus on attracting skilled workers through provincial nomination programs. Find out more details about this new EE invitation round.

Express Entry draw for PNP candidates – 30 July

The IRCC issued 964 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Visa in this draw to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score of 686 or higher. The high CRS cutoff reflects the competitive nature of the Express Entry system, but also signals promising opportunities for those with provincial nominations to secure permanent residency in Canada.

Canada has issued a total of 20,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through eight Express Entry draws in July alone. This latest draw brings the monthly tally to a new high. Year-to-date, the number of ITAs issued has climbed to 63,579 across 28 Express Entry rounds.

PNP Nomination: A Ticket to Canada

A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination is undeniably a game-changer in the pursuit of Canadian permanent residency. Not only does it offer a direct pathway to PR through the province's own immigration streams, but it also serves as a turbocharger for Express Entry hopefuls.

By securing a PNP nomination through linked Express Entry streams, applicants are rewarded with an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This substantial boost significantly enhances their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and ultimately, obtaining Canadian permanent residency under the PNP category.

Category-based Express entry draws are another key pathway to obtain Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Visa even with the low Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score.
