On February 17, 2025, Canada conducted its sixth Express Entry draw of the year, issuing 646 invitations to apply (ITAs) to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. This marks the third Express Entry draw this month, with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) having now held three draws each for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) categories in 2025.

The IRCC has opened the 3rd PNP only Express Entry draw of the year inviting 646 candidates who had the CRS Score of 750 or higher.

In 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has extended 10,922 invitations to apply (ITAs) through six Express Entry draws. Half of these draws targeted candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), while the other half focused on those in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) play a crucial role in Canada's immigration system, allowing provinces and territories to nominate individuals who meet their specific economic and demographic needs. Express Entry draws dedicated to PNP candidates offer a pathway for these nominees to obtain permanent residency. These draws often have a lower Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off compared to all-program draws, increasing the chances for PNP nominees to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Participating provinces and territories nominate candidates who have demonstrated their ability to contribute to the province's economy and integrate into its communities. Successful PNP nominees then enter the Express Entry pool, where they become eligible for these targeted draws. The number of ITAs issued in each PNP-specific draw can vary, depending on the current immigration targets and the needs of the participating provinces.
