Canberra, Australia conducted latest Canberra Matrix invitation round on July 14, 2023. In this round, it issued total 822 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) nomination.
The visa categories invited for ACT nomination were:
- Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190
- Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491

Latest ACT Invitation Round on 14 July
It was the first ACT Invitation round of the program year 2023-2024. Find below the details of this round:
- Small Business Owners: Canberra has issued total 24 invitations under this category for both invited visa categories.
- 457 / 482 visa holders- Just 11 ITAs issued under this category for both invited visa types in this round.
- Critical Skill Occupations– Canberra has issued 226 ACT nomination invitations to the candidates registered for both visa subclasses.

- Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) – The Overseas applicants received the most, i.e. 561 nomination invitations. Canberra invited 299 applicants to apply for the ACT nomination of Subclass 190 visa, while Subclass 491 visa candidates received 262 invitations.
2023-2024 Allocation of ACT Nomination Places:
The DHA yet to announce the ACT’s allocation for the program year 2023-24. The status of ACT nomination approvals will recommence once the allocation is known.
The ACT (Australian Capital Territory) issue a fixed number of nomination places available every month (pro-rata against the yearly allocation). The highest ranked Matrix in each occupation get ITA for ACT nomination.
