CRS dropped to 400 points in new Express Entry draw for CEC

Latest Express Entry draw opens on April 29, 2021

 

The IRCC has opened yet another Express Entry draw within 24 hours of the previous EE draw. The new draw opened on April 29, 2021 for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category of federal Express Entry System. This EE draw has invited only the CEC category candidates, i.e. the candidates who already have Canadian Work experience.

The IRCC has issued massive 6,000 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residence (PR) visa in this latest draw with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 400 CRS points.

Now, after this latest CEC category draw of EE system, now IRCC has invited 61,771 candidates in 15 program-specific Express Entry draws opened this year. This number is excessively high, if we compare it to the invitations issued last year at this point, i.e. 30,989.

Latest Express Entry draw opens on April 29, 2021

 

Canadian government has the target of inviting 401,000 new permanent residents this year, and 108,500 will through the federal Express Entry System only. Hence, after this draw, IRCC yet to invite 46,727 more candidates this year.In fact, it may also bypass its target for the year, as it did last year.In addition, the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada are also inviting the skilled worker candidates regularly to nominate them for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) visa.

 

Hence, with such massive candidates yet to be invited, it is wise to apply for Canadian PR visa this year.
