CRS score Drops to just 422 in Latest Express Entry draw for Healthcare Occupations

As was expected, the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement from IRCC dropped significantly for this category-based Express Entry draw. Find out more.

Express Entry Draw – 14 Feb 2024

In Express Entry draw no.284, the IRCC invited 3,500 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR)  visa who had the score just 422 points or higher. Now, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued total 15,270 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian PR visa this year, in overall six EE draws occurred until date.

EE Draw Analysis

This was sixth Express Entry draw this year and third one this month only. In fact, it was second Category-based draw of conducted by the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) this month. The CRS score dropped significantly in both category-based draws.

Hence, candidates with experience in above occupations or proficiency in French language have higher chance of obtaining the Canada PR invitation in 2024.

Categories for 2024 category-based EE Draws

As per latest reports, the categories IRCC targeted last year for category-based Express Entry draws are likely to sustain in the year 2024 as well. These categories are:

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food
