Express Entry CRS Dropped to 489 Points- Find out your chances of getting ITA in upcoming EE draws

Express Entry being the fastest and most popular way of obtaining the Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa, remain the center of enquiries for all Canada immigration aspirants. In last few Express Entry draws the IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) is constantly dropping the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement to invite more and more candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa.

CRS dropped to 489 points

The IRCC has dropped the CRS score to 489 points in last Express Entry draw held on February 2, 2023. It is significant drop considering the fact that it was above 500 points few weeks back. It is the lowest drop in the CUT OFF this year and hence, which certainly making Canada PR aspirants in Express Entry hopeful about their chances of getting the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR visa in next few draws.

In fact, it will not be an exaggeration to expect an ITA for most applicants with decent score, considering the consistent drop in CUT OFF in last few draws, along with the increase in number of invitations.

Express Entry pool status

As per the Express Entry pool status as on February 1, 2023, nearly 12, 360 candidates are there in the pool within the CRS score range 481-490. Moreover, there are 20,467 candidates are there in the EE pool; with a CRS score between 470 and 480. The candidates above 490 must have got the ITA in the 2 February draw itself.

Hence, with such huge number of applicants waiting for ITA, the IRCC is likely to drop the CUT OFF soon within the bracket of 475-485, which means a significant number of candidates will get the Canadian PR visa invitation.

Apart from this, if your CRS point score is even below the above-mentioned mark, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is the best option to boost your Canada immigration points. Provincial nomination received from a PNP, can help you add 600 additional CRS points in your express entry account.
