Biggest Express Entry Draw ever opens to invite record 27,332 Candidates

This Express Draw is unprecedented in many ways. Firstly, Canada invited record of 27,332 candidates in this draw. Secondly, the CRS score requirement is lowest ever, i.e. just 75 points.

The previous low was 199 points in the May 16, 2017 draw for FST candidates. This draw opened on Saturday, i.e. within three days of the previous EE draw for PNP candidates opened on February 10 2021.

 

 

Now, IRCC has invited 37,986 candidates in 2021 in six program-specific Express Entry draws.

In 2021, the number of invitations issued until 13th February is record-high compare to the previous year at the same time. It is understandable considering Express Entry's massive annual invitation target, i.e. 108,500 for this year.

 

 

Express Entry has opened program-specific draws only this year and invited just under 38,000 candidates until 13th February. Considering the annual Express Entry target of 108,500, we still have 70,514 more invitations available for this year. Moreover, there is also a possibility that Express Entry overachieve its annual target as it did last year.

 

Most probably, IRCC has now completed its quota for CEC and PNP invitations this year. If it is so, the IRCC is likely to open further draws for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category this year. Moreover, the Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are also inviting the candidates regularly. Hence, it is ideal for applying for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa this year through Express Entry or PNP.
