IRCC invites 5,000 candidates in yet another Express Entry Draw

New Program-specific Express Entry Draw on 18th March

 

The latest Express Entry System draw is for CEC category candidates, i.e., candidates who already have Canadian Work experience and are living in Canada now. The IRCC has invited 5,000 candidates in the current draw, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of just 449 points.

Now, Express entry has issued 43,840 invitations in nine program-specific draws conducted this year until date. This is a new record for number of invitations at this point of year.

Draw for FSW category

 

After the nine program-specific draws this year, the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category candidates must be waiting eagerly for an all-program Express Entry draw. Although this trend from IRCC is unprecedented, after so many specific draws this year, now IRCC likely to go back to its normal draw routine of all-program draws.

 

 

It will be interesting to see what cut-off the Canadian government announces for an upcoming FSW category draw, as last year it was hovering around the 470 mark most of the time.
