IRCC Opens latest Express Entry draw to invite 671 PNP Candidates

The latest Express Entry draw opened on March 8, 2021. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) opened this program-specific EE draw for the candidates with a provincial nomination. The invited candidates have 600 additional CRS points obtained through Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination.

The IRCC has taken longer than the usual time to conduct this draw of the EE system, as the previous draw opened on February 13, 2021. In this latest draw, IRCC invited 671 candidates to apply for a Canadian PR visa with a minimum CRS score requirement of 739 points.

The CRS score requirement in this draw is higher than the usual, as this draw is for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. Now, after this draw, the IRCC has invited 38,657 candidates in seven program-specific Express Entry draws opened this year.

Even though most draws this year were program-specific draws, Express Entry has invited a record number of candidates, especially when we compare it to last year invitation at this point.

This year Express Entry annual invitation target is to invite 108,500 candidates to apply for a Canadian Permanent Residence (PR) visa. Moreover, Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) will also invite 80,800 candidates this year.

Hence, this year can be the best opportunity to apply for and obtain a Canada PR visa.
