Canada conducted first Express Entry draw of the year 2024 on January 10, 2024 to invite 1,510 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa this time around. In the first draw of the year, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued ITAs (Invitations to Apply) to all EE categories, i.e.
- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
- Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Express Entry Draw – 10 Jan 2024
In this latest all-program draw of federal Express Entry System, the IRCC has issued 1,510 invitations to the candidates who had the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 546 points or above. The CUT OFF is little high this being an all-program draw.

In the year 2023 the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued massive 1,10,266 Invitations in overall 42 Express Entry draws held last year.
Express Entry draws in December 2023
Canada opened record seven Express Entry draws in December 2023 month and invited massive 15,045 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Visa, which is an astounding number. The IRCC is likely to keep this momentum in the New Year 2024.
Will CUT OFF Drop in 2024?
Although, the IRCC has kept the CRS score requirement a bit high in the first all-program draw of the year, however, the CUT OF is expected to drop in the upcoming draws, especially in the category-based Express Entry draws to be held this year.
Moreover, the IRCC has huge target of 110,770 for Express Entry System for the year 2024. Considering the same, the CUT OFF is anticipated to drop further to invite more and more number of skilled worker applicants via the popular Express entry as well as via the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). The PNPs too will invite similar number of candidates, i.e. 110,000 candidates this year.
