First WA State nomination Invitation round of 2023-24- Western Australia invites 487 candidates

Key Features of the 2023—24 program 

Find below the key features of the WA state nomination program for the year 2023-24:

• no application fee; 

• equal invitation ranking for Interstate and Overseas applicants; 

• prioritised invitations for candidates with an occupation in a WA industry sector with critical demand for skilled workers; and

• reduced employment requirements for applicants invited through a WA building and construction industry sector occupation (as classified on the WA State nomination Occupation lists).

Forthcoming invitations

Having an eligible Expression of Interest (EOI) does not guarantee an invitation for State nomination. To get an invitation in a future round, please make certain that:

• your nominated occupation is presently available on the Eligible occupations list; and
• your EOI meets all requirements outlined by the program

WA State Nominated Migration Program 

To get certain skilled migration visas to live and work in the state of WA, you must be nominated (invited) by an Australian state or territory via the State Nominated Migration Program.

WA Migration Services, on behalf of the WA State Government, provides WA State nomination to eligible candidates for two visa subclasses, which gives you additional points on the Department of Home Affairs points test:

• the Skilled nominated visa (subclass 190)(opens in a new tab) — an extra five points; or

• the Skilled work regional (provisional) visa (subclass 491)— an extra 15 points.
