The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has once again set a new record. In its ninth Express Entry draw of July, held on July 31st, they invited a whopping 5,000 skilled workers with Canadian work experience to apply for permanent residency. This is the second time this month that IRCC has focused solely on attracting skilled workers under Canadian Experience Class (CEC), i.e. the applicants who are already in Canada, showing a clear commitment to growing the country's workforce. Here are more details about this new invitation round.

While the high CRS score might seem daunting, it also underscores the growing demand for skilled talent in Canada. This latest draw reinforces the country's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent, offering promising opportunities for those who meet the criteria.
Canada's Immigration on a Roll: Record-Breaking Invites in July
Canada has sent a clear message to skilled workers worldwide: it wants you! The country's immigration department, IRCC, has issued a staggering 25,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency through record nine Express Entry draws in July alone. This marks a new monthly record, demonstrating Canada's strong commitment to growing its talent pool.
With a total of 68,579 ITAs issued across 29 Express Entry rounds this year, the momentum is undeniable. This surge in invitations signals a thriving job market and exciting opportunities for skilled professionals looking to build their lives in Canada.
Category-based draws- Real boon for applicants with low CRS score
Don't let the high cutoff scores in category-based Express Entry draws discourage you. While these draws often result in significantly higher CRS thresholds, it's important to remember that these numbers apply to the entire pool of invited candidates. If you possess qualifications that align with the selected category, such as proficiency in French or experience in high-demand occupations, your CRS score may be considerably lower than the overall cutoff. This means that even candidates with relatively lower CRS scores can secure an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through these targeted draws.
