IRCC issued 21,000 PR invitations in last 3 Express Entry Draws- Apply for Canada PR now

Express Entry- the popular immigration program of Canada is inviting a huge number of candidates constantly through its periodic Express Entry draws. In fact, in last three Express entry draws held between 15-29 March 2023, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued record 21,000 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa.

Express Entry inviting record number of Candidates

In last three EE draws, the IRCC has issued 7,000 invitations per draw, which is a new record. Moreover, the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement or CUT OFF has also dropped to 481 points from 490 points.

With rise in number of ITAs (Invitations to Apply) and constant drop in the CUT OFF, this is the best time to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) Visa, if you are an aspirant of immigration to Canada. The Canadian government has also taken key measure in last few months to make the whole immigration process hassle free and smooth for the aspirants.

These steps included improving the immigration system, clearing backlogs and improving the processing time of the Canada PR applications.

Positive Changes to EE system

Recently, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has adopted new NOC 2021 system for the classification of occupations in Canada. New NOC system will provide more clarity about the skills, and training and experience required for a particular occupation.

Moreover, as per the recent announcement, IRCC may soon start conducting occupation based draws. Once this happens, the dependency on the CUT OFF won’t be there and Express entry applicants will be able to get the ITA based on the demand of their occupation only.

Hence, if you have plans to immigrate to Canada this year on Permanent Resident (PR) Visa, this is the best time to apply for the same.
