In this latest EE draw, the IRCC has issued total 1,500 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa to all category candidates. The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement or CUT OFF in this draw is understandably high, i.e. 557 points.

Canadian government is easing immigration program for applicants

The liberal government of Canada is known for its lenient approach towards new immigrants. This has been evident in last few months as the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released various key changes and updates in last few months to facilitate the entry of newcomers in Canada. Here are few of such positive changes:

  • IRCC resumed all-program draws from 6 July 2022 to invite all category skilled workers from overseas.
  • IRCC has recently confirmed that they have resumed the 6 months processing time for Express entry PR applications received from applicants post Invitation to Apply (ITA)
  • The IRCC will complete the switch from NOC system 2016 to NOC 2021 in November 2022. The NOC 2021 presents a TEER system, which has six categories: TEER category 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. In NOC 2016, eligible occupations for Express Entry were from Skill Level B and above. However, under NOC 2021, TEER 3 and above will be eligible.
  • The IRCC to hold occupation-based EE draws in next few months. It has proposed these amendments under Bill C-19, providing the immigration minister more freedom regarding inviting overseas skilled worker candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Considering all above factors, it’s the perfect time to start your application and apply for PR visa in Canada.
