The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) finally opened the February Express Entry draw on 10th February 2021. This EE draw has opened after 19 days of the previous draw. Usually, the Express Entry draws open every fortnight (two weeks).
The IRCC has opened this EE draw only for Provincial Nominee class candidates, i.e. the candidates, who already have provincial nomination and 600 CRS points based on the same. Let us find out more details about this latest EE draw.

The Canadian government has issued 654 invitations in this Express Entry draw with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 720 points.

Since this draw is a program-specific Express Entry draw for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, the CRS score requirement is understandably high. The number of invitations is relatively low. Now, IRCC has invited 10,654 candidates in 2021 in five program-specific Express Entry draws.

Express Entry draw results in 2021
In five Express Entry draws opened this year, IRCC has invited either PNP or CEC candidates. Hence, the candidates are eagerly waiting for the first Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category draw of the year. However, this year the number of invitations are still high compare to the Express Entry invitations issued last year until 10 February.
Moreover, considering this year's annual EE invitation target of 108,500 IRCC is likely to invite a significant number of invitations in 2021. Consequently, we may see the fall in the qualifying marks for receiving ITA in future all-program Express Entry draws.
Meanwhile applying in a PNP is still the wise option if you are waiting for the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canadian PR visa since long. A PNP's Express Entry aligned stream helps increase the CRS score by adding 600 additional CRS points to your Express Entry account.
