Manitoba PNP held a Special Immigration draw for Skilled Worker Overseas stream

On 20 July 2023, Manitoba, Canada opened a special draw for the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). Usually, province of Manitoba conducts three types of draws, i.e.

• Regular draw inviting all key categories
• Occupation Specific draw for Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream and
• Special Immigration Measure draw for Ukrainian candidates

The invitations issued in this draw for the overseas skilled workers were unprecedented as Manitoba issued total 595 Letters of Advice (LAAs) to apply for provincial nomination.

Manitoba draw for Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The MPNP held the special draw for Skilled Worker overseas stream to invite 595 candidates with a point score of 611 points or above. Find below the draw result:

• Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 595                                                                                                   
• Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 611

Invitations to Skilled workers

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) open regular draws under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system to invite applicants in the EOI pool to submit a complete application to the MPNP.  

The Skilled Worker Overseas pathway nominates candidates who show an established connection to Manitoba via:

• the support of family members or friends;
• former education or work experience in the province; or
• an ITA received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
