Marc Miller Appointed as Canada's New Immigration Minister

In an important announcement on 26 July 2023, Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau introduced Mr. Marc Miller as the newly appointed Immigration Minister of Canada. In the year 2015, Miller secured his early election victory, becoming the Member of Parliament for Ville-Marie—Le Sud-Ouest—Île-des-Sœurs in Montréal. Having served in various capacities dealing in public service, Mr. Miller’s appointment comes as a testament to Canada's commitment to developing a welcoming environment for people from all walks of life.

New Immigration Minister of Canada

Prior to his political career, Minister Miller practiced law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, principally in the fields of international and commercial law. His legal proficiency and knowledge led him to work in prominent cities such as Montréal, Stockholm, and New York City. Moreover, Minister Miller has a eminent background as an infantry soldier in the CAF (Canadian Armed Forces) before transitioning into the field politics. All through his tenure, he has served as the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and the Minister of Indigenous Services, presenting his dedication to public service and addressing vital national issues.

He has been a strong advocate for encouraging federal support in vital areas like affordable housing, public transit, and the Canada Child Benefit, advocating for the welfare of Canadian citizens.
