New Alberta Express Entry stream draw- CRS score falls to just 302 points

Alberta, Canada has released the details of latest Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)- Express Entry stream draw occurred on August 24, 2023. This was the seventh EE stream draw of Alberta PNP this month, which is significant. In these seven draws opened this month, Alberta has issued total 815 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to apply for provincial nomination.

Alberta held this latest draw on 24 August. The criteria for this draw was:

  • 24 August – Alberta held draw for and primary occupation in demand, CRS score 300-500. Total 168 NOIs issued with a CRS score requirement of 302 points.

AAIP Nominations this year

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) decide the limits for nomination certificates Alberta PNP can issue every year. The AAIP will to issue 9,750 nomination certificates in 2023, divided between Express Entry and non-Express Entry pathways (which is subject to change through the year). Notional rise to over 10,000 nomination allocations per year are expected in 2024 and 2025.

However, this plan is subject to change without notice. The allocation partly depend on fluctuating application volumes and on how nomination allocations this year expected to be used.
