New Brunswick Selects Candidates in First 2025 Provincial Draws

On March 5th and 6th, New Brunswick's Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) initiated its 2025 draws, extending invitations to candidates in targeted, high-demand occupations. These draws signal the start of the province's immigration activities for the year, following significant adjustments to the NBPNP to better align with evolving labor market needs and a reduced federal allocation of provincial nomination spots.

For 2025, New Brunswick has been allocated 2,750 nomination spaces, with 1,500 designated for the NBPNP and 1,250 for the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). This report outlines:

  • The specifics of New Brunswick's inaugural draws.
  • An overview of the modifications implemented within the NBPNP.

Provincial Immigration Results (March 8-14)

New Brunswick

The NBPNP conducted its first 2025 draws on March 5th and 6th, targeting candidates under two streams of the New Brunswick Skilled Worker program:

  • The New Brunswick Skilled Worker—New Brunswick Experience pathway.
  • The New Brunswick Skilled Worker—New Brunswick Graduates pathway.

These draws prioritized candidates in critical sectors, including:

  • Healthcare.
  • Education and Social & Community Services.
  • Construction trades.

A total of 498 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued. The NBPNP did not release a minimum cut-off score for these draws.

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream now features three pathways, with the addition of the New Brunswick Skilled Worker—New Brunswick Priority Occupations pathway.

In addition to the general Skilled Worker stream eligibility, candidates in these specific pathways must meet the following criteria:
