New Brunswick is accepting applications from International Graduates under NB Skilled Worker stream

For a limited period, Canadian province, New Brunswick, is accepting the applications from the International graduates under the NB Skilled Worker stream of New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).

 

Usually, foreign graduates on a federal post-graduate work permit whose occupation falls under NOC skill-level D are not eligible to apply to the New Brunswick PNP's NB Skilled Worker stream. The NB has taken this temporary measure to tackle the challenges posed by the continuing COVID pandemic. Let us find out more details about the program requirements.

 

International graduates applications under the NB Skilled Worker stream

The NB will accept applications under the NB Skilled Worker stream from foreign graduates working in the province in a NOC D position, and who fulfil the below criteria:

• you fulfil eligibility requirements of the NB Skilled Worker stream;
• you are a graduate of an NB designated post-secondary institution; and
• you hold a federal Post-graduation work permit, issued upon graduation from that New Brunswick institution

The New Brunswick, Skilled Worker Stream, is now open to Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) holders working in jobs, classified as NOC skill-level D. As already mentioned, this measure is momentary, and applicants must submit the applications fulfilling mentioned criteria on or before April 30, 2021.

NB Skilled Worker Stream

The NBPNP has designed the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream for Foreign Nationals, having the skills, education and work experience required to contribute to the province's economy.

The applicants need to fulfil the program's minimum eligibility requirements, i.e. have a genuine employment offer from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to permanently live and work in New Brunswick. This program will also benefit New Brunswick employers, who cannot fill job vacancies with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. They will now be able to hire foreign nationals and international graduates whose skills are in demand in New Brunswick.
