The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted new all-category Express Entry draw on March 25, 2024 to issue 1,980 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa this time around. In this all-program draw, Canadian immigration department has issued 1,980 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa, who had the CRS score of 524 points or above.

EE Draw Analysis
Now, after this new EE Invitation round, this year, Canada has invited total 25,195 candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa in overall 12 EE draws held until date.
In the all-category draws, the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement or CUT OFF often remain higher, however, the IRCC drops it for the category based express entry draws, wherein candidates with experience in high demand occupations or proficiency in French language get the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada PR.
Categories for category-based selections in 2024
The IRCC has kept same categories for Category-based Express Entry draws this year, which were used in 2023. The categories retained for 2024 are:
- A strong French language proficiency or
- Work experience in one of the below fields:
- healthcare
- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
- transport
- agriculture and Agri-food
