New Express Entry Draw- Will IRCC Surpass the 2021-Express Entry target?

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is on the verge of creating history in the next few weeks. This year until date, the IRCC has issued massive 1, 05,779 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) in 32 program-specific Express Entry draws. Now, it is just inches away from reaching its annual invitation target for 2021.

As per experts, these are encouraging signs the way Canadian immigration department continues to invite the candidates for Permanent Residence (PR) visa in bulk, despite the global pandemic caused situation.

Predictions for upcoming Express Entry draw

The IRCC is likely to surpass 2021 EE invitation target of 108,500 invitations, as it is just under 3,000 invitations away from reaching the same. The credit of massive invitations this year goes mainly to the CEC category draws, as the IRCC issued high number of invitations particularly in the CEC draws.

Two back-to-back EE draws this year

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been opening two back-to-back draws this year every fortnight (two weeks). The first draw it opens for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, and in second draw, the IRCC invites the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates only.

Now, if we go by this trend, we can expect at least 15 more Express Entry draws by the end of this calendar year, i.e. in four months. Moreover, if we take the average of 6,000 draws per month, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is likely to invite over 20,000 more invitations in 2021. If it occurs, the Express Entry will end up issuing early 125,000 invitations this year, which will be extra ordinary thing to happen.

Moreover, the IRCC is likely to open borders for all fully vaccinated travellers in September 2021. Although, the Trudeau government has extended ban on flights for India until 21 September, however, this ban is likely to end in next few weeks, considering the gradually easing situation in both the countries.
