Now Entrepreneurs in India can Buy or Start a Business in Ontario via OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative

OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative

The Entrepreneur Stream of the Ontario PNP is for entrepreneurs from outside of Canada who wish to setup a new business, or buy and grow an existing business, in Ontario.

The OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative OINP-ESI will help potential immigrant entrepreneurs prepare and submit applications to the Entrepreneur Stream. The objective of this measure is to attract and support 100 new applications. The Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC) will oversee the OINP Entrepreneur Success Initiative for 2 years.

Key requirements for OINP-ESI

• You must have minimum 24 months of full-time business experience (business owner or as a senior manager) in the last 60 months.
• You must have a minimum personal net worth of $400,000 CAD.
• You need to make a minimum personal investment of $200,000 CAD from your personal net worth and you also need to control at least one-third of the equity in the business.
• You need to be actively involved, on an continuing basis, in the management of the business.
• You require creating minimum one permanent full-time job for a Canadian citizen/permanent resident.
