Ontario invites candidates under OINP- Entrepreneur Stream

On March 31, 2023, the Ontario held the draw to invite 13 candidates under Entrepreneur stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). In this invitation round of Entrepreneur stream, the EOIs (Expressions of interest) scored by March 27, 2023 were entitled for consideration. Find out more.

In this latest draw held for the Entrepreneur stream, Ontario issued 13 invitations to apply for provincial nomination for EOIs that received a score between 139 and 159. Hence, if you received an ITA, you do not require contacting the program, you will get 2 emails comprising login information and guidelines for submitting an application.

• If you got a notice that your EOI was eligible to get an ITA, but did not receive an invitation this round, the EOI scored below 139.
• An EOI remains eligible to get an ITA for 12 months from the date it was submitted to the OINP.

Ontario Entrepreneur Stream

The Ontario PNP- Entrepreneur Stream is designed to support people from outside of Canada who wish to apply a new business idea or purchase an existing business in Ontario. This dedicated stream offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to be nominated for PR Visa once their business has been successfully setup in Ontario.

Minimum requirements for Entrepreneur Stream

• You needs to have minimum 24 months of full-time business experience in the last 60 months.
• You (the applicant) needs to have a minimum personal net worth
• You needs to make minimum required investments in your business from your personal net worth
• You needs to be actively involved, on an ongoing basis, in the running the business.
• The chief purpose of investing capital in the business needs to be to make a profit. It must not be to derive interest, dividends or capital gains.
• If the business is to be placed inside the Greater Toronto Area you must create minimum 2 permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
