Ontario Issued Invitations to Entrepreneur stream Candidates in latest OINP draw

Ontario has issued 20 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) under the Entrepreneur stream on August 26, 2021 draw of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). In this invitation round, the candidates who received Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and scored by (OINP: ES) by August 23, 2021 were considered in this ITA Round.

The province issued ITAs (Invitations to Apply) to the EOIs that received a score of between 142 and 200.

OINP draw for Entrepreneur stream

If you received an ITA, you will get two emails comprising login information and instructions for submitting an application. If you got intimation that profile is eligible to get an ITA, however, did not get an ITA in this round, the EOI scored below 142.

An EOI remains eligible to get an ITA for 12 months from the date it was submitted to the OINP.

Entrepreneur Stream of OINP

This is an immigration stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). This particular stream is for entrepreneurs from outside Canada willing to begina new business or buying an existing business in the province of Ontario. It gives an entrepreneur (and up to one foreign national business partner)the opportunity to be nominated for the Canadian PR visa once their business has been established in Ontario.

The Entrepreneur Stream application is a two-stage process. An overview of the process follows.

Stage 1

• Register an EOI by email.
• If received the invitation, submit an online application.
• You and your business partner (if applicable) attend a compulsory interview.
• If your stage 1 application is successful, you need to sign a performance agreement.

Stage 2

• Ontario issue a temporary work permit support letter so that you can apply to IRCC for a temporary work permit.
• Setup your business - you have 20 months from the date you land in Ontario to apply your business plan and submit a final report.
• If your business fulfils all requirements, the OINP ask you for documentation to make certain you are eligible for nomination for Permanent Residence (PR)
