Canada yet again invites Provincial Nominees in Latest Express Entry Draw- invites 1,499 candidates

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted another Express Entry draw on June 19, 2024, specifically targeting candidates with Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominations. This marks the second PNP-specific draw of 2024.

A total of 1,499 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued to PNP candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 663 or above. A PNP nomination significantly boosts an applicant's CRS score, making them more competitive in the Express Entry pool.

EE Draw Analysis

Including this new EE draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to a total of 43,454 candidates through the Express Entry system in 20 draws conducted so far in 2024.

This draw shows Canada’s continued commitment to attracting skilled immigrants to support provincial labour markets. The Express Entry system is used by IRCC to manage applications for three federal economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class. Provinces and territories can also nominate candidates through Express Entry through their respective PNP streams.

The CUT OFF is high this being a PNP specific draw, however, it is likely to drop for the upcoming category-based Federal Express Entry System draws.

Six categories chosen for Category based EE Draws in 2024

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food
