Quebec Issues 1,490 Invitations to apply for permanent selection Through Arrima System

The province of Quebec, Canada has announced the results of its 14th Arrima draw of the year took place on 1 August 2024. A total of 1,490 candidates received invitations to apply for permanent residency. This selection process, conducted through the province’s online system, Arrima, is a regular occurrence aimed at meeting Quebec’s immigration targets. This latest invitation round marks the first immigration selection round for the month of August.

Quebec Issues 1,490 Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residency. In its latest selection round, Quebec issued 1,490 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency. To be selected in this draw, candidates needed a minimum score of 580 points.

Number of invitations: the Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration invited 1,490 persons to apply for permanent selection.

These invitations were addressed to the persons meeting the following criteria:

  • they had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français (Québec scale of French proficiency levels for adult immigrants) or its equivalent;
  • they had a score equal to or greater than 580 points.

These ITAs were also addressed to people fulfilling the below criterion:

  • they had a level 7oral proficiency (or higher) in French as per the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français Québec scale of French proficiency levels for adult immigrants) or its equivalent;
  • they had a valid employment offer outside the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

Quebec Prioritizes Skilled Workers
