  • At least two years of relevant professional experience within the last five years (post-graduation): 2 points.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience within the last seven years (post-graduation): 3 points.
• Language Skills:
  • German language skills:
    • A2 level: 1 point
    • B1 level: 2 points
    • B2 level or above: 3 points
  • Additional English language skills:
    • C1 level or above, or native speaker: 1 point.
• Age:

  • OR German academic or non-academic vocational qualification.

Suggestion: Graduates of German institutions may be eligible for a job-seeker residence permit (Section 20 AufenthG) with extended job search time (18 months) and unrestricted part-time work rights.

• Option 2: Score 6 points in point system and meet following:
  • Minimum of six points in the points system.
  • Successful completion of vocational or academic training (recognized by the awarding country).
  • Non-academic vocational qualification must require at least two years of training.
  • Positive assessment of the qualification from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required.

Suggestion: Graduates of Category A vocational training programs at a German Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK) that comply with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) may also qualify. Contact the relevant AHK for details.
